Dermod Wood Associates has been in business since 1995, covering a variety of IT consulting and computer systems validation activities.
Associates are brought in as necessary from a network of business, academic and social contacts.
We operate as an expert and unbiased broker of information about tools for virtual teams, dispersed teams, and virtual projects.

Dermod Wood, PhD, PMP, MASCE - Principal

Dermod Wood has more than fifteen years experience managing cross-border teams for computer systems development and computer systems validation in the pharmaceutical industry, and has also worked extensively as a civil engineer / project manager on international engineering and construction projects in the UK, Canada, USA, South America and West Africa.

In addition, he teaches Global Business in the online Doctor of Management program of the University of Maryland University College, and coordinates the research and dissertation activities of a group of doctoral candidates in Taiwan ROC.

Dermod has has completed graduate studies in international business and organizational behavior at Rutgers University, management information systems at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, interpersonal, small group and organizational communication at the State University of New York; and undergraduate studies in civil and structural engineering at the University of Sheffield, UK.  He is a member of the Project Management Institute, a certified Scrum Master for Agile software development, a past member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (UK) and a lifetime member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
